Hi! I should have anticipated the in-game coordinates discussion. Programming it into an object isn't difficult. The problem is that it would change how the game is played and thus would need senate discussion and vote.

For example, as part of their specialized skills, rangers can mark places and use their bearings ability to return. We have a compass that always points back to Tantallon. We have a non-player character named Lorius whom you can "tell lorius lost" and he'll give you walking directions back to Tantallon. Coaches and boats can take you specific places that you might not know how to get to. Adding the availability of coordinates renders all but the boats useless.

The real discussion point, however, is that Ancient Anguish strives to maintain the book adventure feel. It's not a numbers game. You don't see the specific hit points of your enemy because it's not something you can tell by looking at a creature. Instead, you can tell if it's in good shape, hurt, etc. Coordinates would fall into that category, I think. You can't step out your front door and look at the tree in your lawn and your street, and know your exact latitude and longitude.

I will bring it up for discussion. In the meantime, we'll continue with the in-game map change which is complicated, but possible, and should help once you get to a closer proximity of the area you are searching for.
